Job Description

Uplift Therapy for Men is seeking to hire motivated therapists to join our team. The therapist will be responsible for providing individual, couples, family and/or group therapy to men of all ages and backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have experience working with men's mental health issues and/or a passion for helping men and their partners to achieve their full potential.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and empathetic Virtual Psychotherapist/Social Worker to join our innovative team. This position offers the unique opportunity to provide virtual therapeutic support to men/couples in Ontario, contributing to their mental health and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual individual therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.

  • Provide virtual support and psycho-education to clients on mental health topics.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Participate in virtual team meetings and case consultations.

  • Stay informed about advancements in the field of virtual therapy and incorporate best practices into service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Masters Degree in Psychotherapy, Social Work, Psychology, Spiritual Care, or equivalent in the related field

  • Membership with the appropriate governing body (CRPO, OCSWSSW)

  • Training in evidence-based modalities (ACT, CBT, CFT, DBT, SFBT and more)

  • Excellent report and clinical record-keeping writing skills

  • Experience working as part of a team and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a virtual team

  • Experience with facilitating groups (not mandatory but good to have)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a virtual environment

  • Fluency in a second language an asset (not required)

  • Specialty: Trauma (EMDR, Brain Spotting, IFS, and/or Somatic)

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines

  • Must provide proof of own liability insurance and/or own supervision (if needed)

Preferred Assets

  • Training in trauma-focused therapies (EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS, Somatic Therapy), Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy.

  • Experience with group therapy or workshop facilitation (not mandatory but a plus).

  • Fluency in a second language

Requirements

  • Availability for a minimum of 2-3 days per week (flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends as needed).

  • Hybrid model: Ability to work both virtually and in-person in Etobicoke and/or Burlington.

  • Proficiency in using virtual communication platforms for remote therapy sessions.

  • Strong commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality.
